Wall Doxey State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is located off Mississippi Highway 7 approximately south of Holly Springs. It is named after Wall Doxey, a former U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator from Mississippi. It is one of the nine original state parks in Mississippi built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.Activities and amenitiesThe park features fishing on 60acre Spring Lake, 18 primitive and 64 developed campsites, nine cabins, a cottage, a 2.5mi nature trail, picnic area, and two disc golf courses. A narrow levee surrounds a third of the spring-fed lake which, in its shallows, has cypresses and dense vegetation.

  • I needed some me time, so I drove down to Wall Doxey. Loved walking around in the trees and loved looking out over the lake, and the cabins are nice too. its a way for me to get out of the city for so...  more »

  • Fantastic campground for the price! We stopped for the night as part of an extended road trip and have a very peaceful experience. The sites are large and wooded. The bathrooms were spacious and clean for a campground. The only sad part is that you can see what this used to be during its glory days with lifeguard posts and a large reception center that are no longer in use. A wonderful campground overall and we would stay again!
  • This park has beautiful scenery, but the grounds & cabins have some serious maitnance issues. They need to apply for some grants or something
  • I stayed in a campsite and it had everything necessary that you'd expect - a water hookup, pavement for parking, grill, picnic table, camp fire, nearby bath house. The trail was quite short, but it had beautiful views.
  • Quiet and secluded. It is a nice spot. Stayed 2 weeks. The bath house is pretty dirty. The same dead bugs were never removed. The camp host said it was supposed to be cleaned 3 times a week. Somebody is making bank with the state funds if they are being paid to clean.
  • Nice trailer sites, lots of trees. Nice trail around the lake.
