  • Found ourselves really enjoying Medoc, it was so quiet. Perhaps children back in school, in any case unlike our previous dozen CG it was Bliss! Sites were spacious and buffered, only 12 with power...  more »

  • We stayed at medoc mountain for 5 days camping. Our site had electricity but no water or sewer. We had to fill our tank before we parked and then add some water a few days later. There’s really not.....  more »

  • We used this small campground as a stop over on our way home. It is about ten miles off I-95. The sites have electric but no water. Water is available in various places in the campground so you just have to fill up prior to parking. The sites are large and private. Most are gravel but they do have two accessible cement sites. The restrooms were clean. There was no AT&T cell coverage so my teenagers complained briefly but then we had some nice family time free of electronics. There are trails but we did not have time to explore beyond the campground. I would recommend staying overnight or for an extra night if you want to explore the trails but would not recommend as a multi day destination. Make sure you bring food with you as it is not close to any amenities. We will definitely consider camping here again on future trips up north and I’m not sure why more people were not utilizing it.
  • Enjoyed cookout with my family. Not so easy to find because GPS turned off before we reached the actual pavilion. Would be nice to have signs posted to inform visitors how far they have to travel before you reach the pavilion as well as a map of the park posted at the Visitors Center. Internet service is actually non-existent in this location.
  • Went there today with my mom and my small dog. I stopped by at the visitor center to get recommendations on where to hike trails that is mostly shaded. Personnel gave me the locations and I was glad I stopped by. The trails are very easy to follow but just make sure you keep the trail map to guide you and give you options just in case you change your mind on a certain trail (like we did). Saw snake skin, mushrooms, coyote pups - 3 of them, butterflies and many more cool stuff. I believe we will be back to explore more trails soon. Clean restrooms by the parking lot before you start your hike too which is a big plus. Plenty of pick nick tables as well. Plenty creek banks to hang out and check out the water. A great way to burn calories and enjoy nature. I highly suggest!
  • Best camping in Soo long. Secluded camp sites so you're not back to back with other tents or RVs. Showers bathrooms the whole 9. Fireflies the bats the bugs and bird calls in the night and the weather was calm and slightly breezy. I will def be back it was really cheap too. I love paying less that 40$ a night not as cheap as it was growing up but dang good
  • Well maintained trails and great scenery! I did a day hike of the Dam Site and Summit loop trails. I definitely plan on returning and camping for a night in fall.
