Tunnel Park, Holland

A nice little park and beach. Was there during 4th of July and it was quite crowded even for arriving at 6pm. If you don't mind crowded beaches, there was still plenty of room to stretch out and catch some sun. The play area for the kids is a nice touch to the park. I really enjoyed the whole setup of the park, especially the two pathways to the beach to get past the ridge separating the parking lot from the beach. The lookout was a great spot to relax and watch the surrounding views. My suggestion to the park owners is to clean up a bit of the debris on the sand and spray the grassy area to eliminate the ticks. The sign warning of ticks, though helpful, is not something you want to see when planning to setup for a picnic. I couldn't help but constantly think of the ticks. Overall it was a fun and enjoyable experience.

Small park away from the crowds. It has playground with fairly new climbers appropriate for younger and older kids. There's a small area where dune climbing is permitted, which not always the case for public access points on Lake Michigan. Many dunes are off limits for conservation purposes. For less stair climbing, take the path near the restroom building that leads to the tunnel that goes right THROUGH the dune! Nice shady spots for picnic tables and grills on the back of the dune (near parking lot) More picnic tables up the stairs on top of dune, but pretty much no shade. Sand volleyball courts, wish we had our volleyball!

Amazing view of lake Michigan. We went up north to grand haven and it was allot busier there. Prefer this location for sure!I

This is a great park with a nice beach and a fantastic view of the lake. The beach area is a little small if you are mainly looking to lay in the sun. But the playground is really nice and the view from the top can't be beat.

Love this county park! Nice beach & great view on dune & through tunnel. Nice playground for kiddos. Clean bathrooms, outdoor faucets for feet & shower. Picnic tables & pavillions.
