Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Hilton Head

(4.4/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy the lush trees and water at Sea Pines Forest Preserve, a sacred site for Native American tribes. An ancient shell ring that is thought to have ceremonial significance is still visible on the site of a former Native American village. Stroll the boardwalks and bridges over wetlands. Take in Hilton Head from above at the observation decks. If you like to fish, drive Fish Island trail to the center of the preserve, where you'll find man-made lakes. Learn more about the preserve with the help of a guide on a bicycle or with a bird-watching tour. A vacation package that includes lodging and activities at a discount is available on the website.
