Where to stay in Hilton Head

A favorite East Coast beach destination, Hilton Head caters to a range of visitors, with budget options as well as world-class luxury hotels. Accommodations here are priciest in the summer months, during the high season. Among upscale options, choose from high-end resorts, hotels of all sizes, and gorgeous villas along the water. There are also a number of charming cottages and short-term rental apartments for those who prefer more private lodging. Shoestring travelers will find a few more affordable hotels here, or you can stay in nearby Bluffton to save cash if you don't mind the commute.

  • I highly suggest Parker Wingard for your pre and post golf needs. Before scoring sub-par on this difficult but amazing course, he made sure everything was in order. I really needed my clubs cleaned be...  more »

  • I stayed in the Water Oak Villas the weekend before 4th of July. The villas here have a nice homey feel to them and come with kitchen supplies, utensils, cookware, and hotel style toiletries. It's right next to the golf course, which is great for evening walks. It's also a ten minute walk to the beach and a short drive from a bunch of restaurants and stores. Remember to bring bug spray, because the mosquitoes are everywhere.
  • The stay here was great! An easy checkin process and clean room greeted us upon arrival. Our specific unit was well stocked with kitchen supplies and linens. We were steps away from the beach and enjoyed a delicious meal at the beach side restaurant. There were plenty of amenities that you could purchase, such as kayaks, bikes, and tennis equipment.
  • My family and I have visited Palmetto Dunes several times over the years and this is the best vacation spot to date! The island and culture is gorgeous! There is so much to do, and the food is amazing. The weather is always stunning - we have predominately traveled in Sept/May, but recently went in January and although cool was just as nice to walk on the beach, barefoot! Love the villas and the views and walking distance to the beach! We will be coming here for years to come!
  • Palmetto Dunes is a very nice resort. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is also fantastic. If I had to stay in Hilton Head I would stay here again.
  • The Resort is absolutely gorgeous. The condo we stay at is up-scale and was prepared on time. The views, the beach, the lagoon, the pools - all wonderful. It's a top notch Resort that we continue to visit annually.
