  • We booked our reservation at Palmetto Dunes several months ago. Unfortunately the week we reserved was the week when Hurricane Matthew was expected to hit the United States. We had to proceed with our plans. Two days into our stay we got the call that we had to evacuate and that we would receive a refund. The amount was not mentioned. We determined when we should leave, we did what the office asked us to do about the patio furniture and left a note stating the day we left and time. I figured out what I thought might be our refund based on a daily rate. I was extremely surprised when I checked my credit card to find that our refund was more than half of the weekly rate. Based on that, I would recommend this resort; mother nature interfered with our vacation but Palmetto Dunes more than rectified that inconvenience. Thank you Palmetto Dunes.
  • This is our 2nd time staying the first time 5 star for sure. The place was updated and clean but this place was a dump! 2526 the Moornings. Mouse dropping in kitchen (and in cabinets)had them come re-clean floors to only laugh that same dirt, hair clips, dental floss and dead bugs still there. Blinds not in working order( street lights in our eyes at night and woke by light in the morning) carpets nasty some outlets didn't work. Pots and pans old and warped. Beds where horrible none of us slept good. Sliding doors had to be pushed on and slammed to close. Ruined our vacation. We are returning guest and expected more. Was told nothing could be fixed because homeowners didn't want to spend money. We would not have stayed there if knowing the condition. They should make homeowners keep their homes clean and updated. We would have gone somewhere else but finding a place that sleep 6 at 5 on Thursday night wasn't an option. They did tell us they would refund us $400 but we would gladly spend the money to have a clean rat free place to stay with working blinds!
  • The grounds are beautiful and we'll kept. We stayed in a condo in Queens Folly. Its a very private and quiet area. The pools are clean and well maintained. It's a great spot for a family get away.
  • Played golf there and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. The course was beautiful. And, we didn't get eaten by the alligators that were all over those water hazards. Definitely a big win.
  • The Dunes House is amazing. Right on the beach and the staff is awesome. Good food and great atmosphere.
