  • I was biking around Hilton Head and stopped to see the ruins. Very informative signs, magnificent setting, nice place to get off the bicycle to stretch your legs!  more »

  • Good, quiet place. However it's not cool to let your kids climb all over it though, that's what ruins ruins! Come on all, let's preserve history for future generations!
  • I expected a little more. I was seriously disappointed especially having to pay $6 just to drive into where this is located. Hilton Head is a racket!
  • An enjoyable historic site to stop and go back in time to the early days of the low country. Nicely preserved as a self guided tour that will take 20-30 minutes and is never crowded.
  • One of the few places on Hilton Head that delves into the reality that the whole island used to be nothing but cotton slave plantations. A nice little piece of the not so pretty side of HH history.
  • Easy, flat hike around what remains of the plantation, which is mostly tabby foundations and walls.
