Visit Wiluku River State Park to witness Rainbow Falls, the 24 m (80 ft) waterfalls famous for the magnificent rainbows that shine through their mist. These falls, know to locals by their Hawaiian name, Waianuenue, rush down over a lava cave, which is considered to be the home of the ancient Hawaiian goddess Hina. At the foot of the falls, wild ginger and monstera plants surround a large pool. Naturally, the rainbows are especially strong after a rainstorm. • Great accessibility and incredible scenery. A great stop to take pictures and enjoy some great foliage.
  • Small area, but nice and pretty. Information boards on the lookout, neat lil story. Able to climb up a lil ways for another view. Go in the morning to see the rainbows.
  • Easily accessible in the city for a great view. Best to go early before the crowds and on a sunny day so that the mist from the spray presents a rainbow.
  • Beautiful nature. shame ignorant humans feel the need to mess it up and vandalize. Wonderful Hawaii! Appreciate it you morons!
  • Pretty excellent views from the path. There's also a very nice little banyan grove south of the river near the top of the trail. One tree in particular was swarming with kids as it's great for climbing.
