  • The caves are across the road from the carpark. You will need strong flashlights. There is some steep stairs to go down to reach them. We first went into the left hand cave. It is very rocky initially...  read more »
  • It was interesting to see a different lava tube than Volcanoes National Park's Thurston. After parking across the street, this one is reached via a set of very steep stairs. The lava tube is unlit, an...  read more »
  • Very nice place to explore a cave in a place that's not too far away. Lovely lava tube cave! Be aware that you have to walk down steep stairs and the terrain in the cave can be rocky and slippery. Bri...  read more »
  • Amazing and scary!!!! You must be ready with good shoes and few flashlights. When we went there were absolutely no people and no guides you just go alone into completely dark natural cave. Its awesome! We didn't go all the way we went to one side a bit and then returned and went to the left side which is long and beautiful we walked for about 20min and came back
  • The farthest I've even gone in was about a half hour (don't know distance) and it was mostly wide enough to walk or crouch. At that point a group of teens came out of the far depths and told us they'd been in there walking at least an hour before they returned back. They looked to me like they were telling the truth with how tired they were. How much adventure you want to get out of this cave is up to you, just don't go alone.
  • really nice tubes. The only thing i would concern was that staircase going down it. it was steep
  • I went about a half mile in (to the point where it splits), creepy and awesome! Very humid, the rain/water from above is constantly doing down on you. Bring hiking shoes or something with ankle support (not flip flops like I saw on some people). Bring a headlamp! Be prepared to get a lower back workout!
  • Really cool Lava Tubes! We had fun exploring the caves.
