  • The world famous Hilo Farmers Market is in full swing on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The other days you get about 1/3 of the vendors but it is open every day. While many vendors come and go, there are some that have been here since I started - Sativa Hemp is some of the best clothes, I wear her shorts daily. Filthy Farm Girl soap is worth checking out too!
  • What a great thing to do in Hilo. They do have a fairly large section of produce and food to eat. BUT what I love is the other large section of goods for sale, most of which is local artisans and crafters. Beautiful jewelry, hangable (Garry Palm a local artist is here and very friendly/approachable) and usable art (ornaments, dog collars, containers), wearable art even (Real Flower Jewelry Inc is MY personal favorite). One could kill a good section of time talking to the friendly people selling their wares. Always a treat.
  • Looks not clean. Fruits surrounded a lot of flies and vegitables look not fresh. Bento looks not fresh. Not good for parking and they have private parking lot but need to pay several bucks. Some fruit seller told their product is grown their farms but I found 'Dole' box above.
  • This is a small open air market in Hilo. Plenty of local fruits and veggies. A lot of tourist kitsch.
  • Found my Durian fruit finally.thanks to my friend (bar tender)at the moon and turtle.she wrote me a map and showed exactly where to get it.the market is reasonable prices and everyone is so friendly.I love the hilos farmers market
