  • Its a beautiful place to spend your day. You can spot birds of all different kinds . The thing they are lacking are the warning signs for ticks. They should put the sign boards at frequent spots in...  more »
  • Incredible place. Really. Beautiful paths. Great for strolling and particularly for bike riding. This may be the best find I. The New York/New Jersey area. Really.  more »
  • It's amazing that this property was once a private residence. The grounds are extensive, and fascinating to explore. Besides that, they are running everything with environmentally sound practices....  more »
  • One of the most BEAUTIFUL places I have ever been to. Duke Farms is truly one of New Jersey's of the reasons we call it "The Garden State." I was in complete awe the entire time there. Our family spent 3.5 hours touring the grounds and we still have tons more to go back to see. This beautiful place is perfect for walks, bike rides (there are bike rentals here, just make sure to bring your helmets-they are required) and hikes. So many trails and beautiful things to see! The ground admission is free! Make sure to stop at the visitors center to get a map (you WILL need it!) and speak to one of the kind, friendly volunteers! Wear comfortable shoes and bring a stroller if you have small will be walking a LOT! Make sure to pack some food along and have a picnic! You and the family will LOVE Duke Farms! Below are some photos I took of our day here at Duke Farms! Enjoy!
  • Great farmer's market on Sundays (spring into fall). Lots of vendors and great selection. Fruits, veggies, breads, honey, ready-made meals. The miles of walking and biking trails are beautiful. Lots are paved so it's very enjoyable. Nice little lakes and meadows. Great place to spend an afternoon.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed a nice, easy hike through the picturesque grounds of duke farm. The trails are very well maintained, there are surprises around every bend, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We did a loop that included the orchid range, the unused greenhouse, and the hay barn. It was around 3 miles of easy walking. We then stopped for lunch at the visitor's center, which was delicious and not crazy expensive. The best part for me, on a practical note, was the abundance of actual bathrooms on the grounds! I will definitely be returning to explore further.
  • Absolutely breathtaking! Nature at its finest! The welcome center was the perfect starting point. The cafe had great food, all produced locally. The trails were pleasant to walk with a few exciting surprises in between. I am so happy we decided to stop here!!!
  • Have been here several times, will be back several more. Consistently stellar experience. Just a wonderful preserve brimming with Nature's Beauty. It's FREE. You just can't beat that. I especially appreciate the occasional farmer's market. Would recommend everyone in NJ to check this place out at least once.
