  • If from Northern New Jersey you will plan to take a trip to Atlantic City, is worth diverting and stop to visit the strip of land that lies on the estuary of the Navesink, in Highlands. You'll come across a particular landscape: on the right, inter alia, a hill on which stands a red brick building flanked by two towers rise (almost watchmen), opposite a lagoon, a nature reserve, where water and Earth intersect and mingle: lift up your two lighthouses twins places to illuminate the ocean for over two hundred years, and below in the Park, a lighthouse that appears as a Bell Tower. Both sites are open to the public: you can admire memorabilia; review, through remains, tools, maps like the United States were born, such as battles were fought and how flags are placed simultaneously in new stars. You get to see how they worked and how do they work now the headlights and, if interested, you can get the headlight circuit Pathfinder stamp on the East Coast. You will also find books and fascinating objects and stories of the sea. If you like see curiosity, you won't regret stopping.

  • The "The Navesink Twin Light towers" which are located in Highlands, Monmouth County, NJ. The twin lighthouse are a historic site. Once you arrive at the site, it's breath taking. The twin lighthouse tower are situated 200 feet above sea level. Both towers are open and assessable. You're allow to climb to the top of the towers. The view from the outside of the towers is beautiful. The towers overlooks Sandy Hook Bay. You can see forever on a perfect clear day. Photographing outside the towers is allowed. We found the staff to be pleasnat and helpful. The grass and grounds of the Twin light towers are kept majestically clean. You also have a fabulous view from the ground, looking out towards northern New Jersey coastal waters. Also photographing the towers from the ground up with a perfect sky and clouds. Makes a magificent photo. I recommend everyone visit The Navesink Twin Lights.
  • Cute historic site with free admission to the top of one of the lighthouses. You get a good view of the shore and the Atlantic Highlands. Even the ground around are nice and relaxing. A good family trip.
  • Such a landmark. I have grown up with these lights. the view is beautiful Sandy Hook. Trees should be trimmed down a little to see the view more
  • A wonderful place to visit -- a must see for Lighthouses aficionados. Staff knowledgeable and friendly, a nice little museum area, fantastic views!
  • Awesome views panoramic style. If you're up to it, you can walk up the little skinny staircase to the top of the lights. Nice little museum tour included.
