  • This was our first time visiting this store even though we have been to Highlands several times in the last 39 years. The first thing that caught my eye was the several varieties of canned peanuts ava...  read more »
  • When you enter the store you see a sign stating no children under 13, as a mother of 5 very well behaved children I fully support this idea. There are samples everywhere, which is great, because we tr...  read more »
  • One of my favorite stores to go to in Highlands, NC. You can taste about 90% of the items before you buy it, so you waste no money not liking it when you get home. He does not allow children in the st...  read more »
  • I thoroughly enjoyed Colonel Mustards condiment store. The owner is not rude at all. I'll definitely return and purchase more items. I will happily tell others to visit.
  • Sign barring kids says it all.... Jerk. I Used to come up and buy over $100 worth of stuff and let my kids try different sauces and jellys and let them pick out their favorites. Now I'll just go to Amazon.
  • A sign saying 'no children allowed in store' would normally keep me out as I have a young child. I also read reviews about the grumpy owner so I timidly entered. Perhaps the owner wasn't in the store that day, but I had several samples without anyone bothering me. There were a lot of samples available. I had come from The Hen House which is another gourmet shop just down the block where I received extremely rude service so I had left there without buying anything. But, I still wanted some jam and condiments. At Colonel Mustard's, I got to sample what I bought, the prices are cheaper than The Hen House and I had a lovely conversation with the gentleman who rang up my purchase.. Was it you Colonel Mustard? I may have to go back before the end of our trip for more!
  • Well...There's a sign on the front door that says my family's not welcome.
  • We used to go years ago and it was a very nice place, however we couldn't even get in the store since there are signs posted that children are not allowed. We came on vacation with our kids, we are not leaving them outside the store to go shopping....
