Bridal Veil Falls, Highlands
(3.4/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Get an up-close look at a natural waterfall at Bridal Veil Falls, set just off of the highway in a national forest. Pay a visit to the 14 m (45 ft) tall waterfall by pulling into the roadway at its base, from where you can admire the cascade as it tumbles down the hills and rock faces above you. Take a unique journey by driving or walking underneath the falls themselves, as the roadway and visitor path curve behind the water and are partially protected by a recess in the rock. Keep in mind that though you can generally pass through and remain dry, the waterfall can still get you soaked if the stream is high. • As others on here have said, the drought has really affected this place. I guess, in that regards, it serves as a visual reminder for me to do my best to take care of the environment. It is still pret...  more »
  • Less than normal rainfall did not provide any show. I'm sure that normal precipitation allows the falls to flow.
  • This fall is nothing more than a trickle due to the drought...usually prettier in the spring. They have both sides of the road that goes under it blocked off.

  • A really cool waterfall with a road that goes behind it makes for a great car enthusiast attraction.
  • As waterfalls go this one is kind of meh. Dry Falls, just west of here, is much more of an amazing experience.
  • Nice waterfall along the highway. Not much water if it hasn't rained
  • Great waterfall for all. No hiking see it from your car. Better after it rains, sometimes very little water.
  • Unfortunately the public is no longer able to drive behind it, but it is easy to get to and still a wonderful sight.
