  • My sister and I went to visit the Poe Springs. We drove in to a sign that said "closed until further notice". Would have been nice if they had posted something of this nature on the web site.  more »
  • Free public spring! It's a short walk down to the spring and it's really lovely place. There is also a playground and tons of green space.
  • It's a wonderful free spring that I've visited in the past, but currently there are 3 signs on the gate that say it is closed until further notice.
  • Extremely nice park!!! We shared a picnic here and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. There is a baseball field, walking trails, and kids playground. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. The park offers nice parking with oversize and handicap spots available. Easy to find from the local town and the gates are closed promptly at closing time. We will be returning when we revisit the area.
  • Found a diamond in the rough when we were at a campground with no swimming in the middle of the summer two years ago. The kids (4 of them) still talk about this place! Absolutely a great place to bring a picnic basket (plenty of picnic areas), easy access into the water, and lots of areas for smaller children to swim safely. A short walk to the river in the water where there are ropes hung from trees to enjoy! Great place! Quite a walk from the parking area but through a very nice boardwalk.
  • I have lived here for years and love bragging to my friends that I "swim in holy water." The park is kept clean and there are plenty of places for grilling and celebrating birthday parties. The water is crystal clear and many parts are shallow enough for small children. Make sure that you are out by 6pm when the park closes, or you will get locked in.
