  • This is a small zoo that focuses on North American wildlife. It's great to visit with kids and they always have good educational experiences going on as well.  more »

  • The animals were especially active when we visited on a 40°F day. Thus, we had a wonderful experience. My kids are 4- and 6-years old, and they loved all sorts of animals at this "zoo." Cages weren't huge, thus the 4-star rating. I understand the dilemma, however - you must fit as many animals in as possible, rather than have large expanses for only a few animals. They looked healthy, so I would recommend visiting to a friend.
  • Nice animal park that has free admission with paid admission to Hersheypark. This zoo has a few wolves, the highlight of the fauna here. There are also other native North American species in as natural of surroundings as they could recreate. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Despite the small size of this zoo, it's built into a valley so there's a lot of uphill and downhill walking.
  • Just a great addition to Hershey Park... It isn't the best zoo in all truthfulness as far as BIG zoos go, but for being included in the park admission it is a great little perk. It is better than a petting zoo, and had more of the big too feel, with indoor and outdoor exhibits. We seen mountain lions, and bears, snakes and more.
  • Great time here. I was a little concerned about some of the animals - especially the ones inside. Perhaps having a staff member around there might be helpful to remind kids [and parents!] not to bang on the glass and limit the flash on their cameras for nocturnal animals (although that should be common sense, unfortunately it seemed to be not-so common).
  • There have a big diversity of NORTH AMERICAN ANIMALS. It's super fun. You will spend from 1 to 3 hours in total visit time.
