  • We stopped AR Hermannhof late morning. We walked through the self-guided cellar tour then tasted the wines. I really liked their wines. So we decided to visit their deli for lunch. They offer a picnic...  read more »
  • We didn't do the tasting because if the cost but grabbed a bottle and enjoyed during our picnic. Great entertainment for Octoberfest!

  • Ok but didnt have a wow factor
  • The vignoles is the best in the state this year
  • This is one of the more commercial wineries. Good atmosphere. Nothing special. I'm not certain why they don't coordinate the deli with the sampling. Maybe the wines don't pair well? At many places just a small amount of the right cheese will bring out the flavors of the wine. Ultimately the mandatory sampling fee costs them a star. Many smaller wineries are happy to let you sample. The wines here were not for our pallet. $$$ for sampling.
  • We went up to Hermann for a quick get-a-way and to visit a few wineries. Hermanhof was the third winery we visited and was by far our favorite. The staff was more than knowledgeable about the wines they served, as well as the history and heritage of the town. We had a great time spending the afternoon sipping wine, snacking on cheese and crackers, and visiting with the staff. I would highly recommend visiting this winery if you go to Hermann.
  • Saturday afternoon they sold our group cold bottles of wine to drink on their patio. 10-15 minutes later they came around and told everyone they had to leave due to a private event. No mention of this was made when they sold the wine. Then they tried to tell us we couldn't leave the winery with our opened bottles. I would recommend one of the smaller more intimate wineries that give more consideration to their customers.
