  • Fun place to visit in the fall! Try different type of apples. Eat some warm apple cider doughnuts. Enjoy the apple orchards!  more »
  • They have a variety of fresh apples available. My daughters and I did the corn maze. The apple fried pie was out of this world.  more »

  • Expensive for what it is. Pretty unorganized. Corn maze they want you to pay for with no one manning the start. We did pay at the register then back to the maze. None of the hole punches worked at any of the four stations in the maze. Apple fritters were disappointing. Seems kind of like a tourist trap. You get more bang for your buck, and better pumpkins and baked goods, at the Ingles down the road (and that's not saying much). Is this really what WNC has to offer for farm fun in the fall??
  • Great place for all the family. Variety of apple products to choose from. Can pick your own apples if you want. Activities for children. Yummy food!
  • Very rude staff & owners. We stood in the one line that offers all of the food items i.e. apple pie, apple turnovers, apple dumplings, apple donuts, ice cream, etc. which was very long and slow moving. My daughter has a peanut & sesame allergy and as always we had to ask about the ingredients used and the chance for cross contamination. We thought we would be in good shape since another worker informed us that the owner's daughter had a tree nut allergy and that were very "aware" of allergies. Well this is NOT the case. The owner was quite rude and clearly does not understand anything about allergies or safe food handling practices. She was clearly flustered because we did not take her word for bond and that we were also holding up the line. Finally she took the CYA route and said "we can't guarntee anything because we don't make anything in-house." We promptly left and drove to Justus orchards - MUCH BETTER, BTW. The only thing Grand Dad's has going for it is that it is right off the main drag. Do yourself a favor and travel a little further afield.
  • Great orchard! Fun for kids and families. Pumpkins are picked and prices are reasonable. The wheelbarrows to haul the pumpkins in are definitely a plus! The cider slushie is awesome!!
  • Lots of apples. Several varieties. The bakery was delicious. The activities for kiddos are great.
