  • This was the first time taking my 2.5 yr old son mining for gems. He may have been a little young, but he didn't get too excited. It could have been because we got the cheapest pail and he didn't get ...  more »
  • You can buy buckets that are 'seeded' with stones. This is an easy way to see if you have gem fever. Kids would be over the moon for this experience. If you are a serious gem hunter this is not the pl...  more »
  • My 13 year old son had a great time (and Mom did too) !!! Joe was very helpful during our great adventure. Already planning our next visit !

  • We had so much fun. This was a cool activity to do on a date. There was something surprisingly relaxing about sifting through all that dirt! The employees were helpful and friendly; one employee in particular was very knowledgeable about the gemstones and identified most of them for us free of charge (don't forget to tip). Feeding the goats was an added bonus. 😊
  • We ended up here accidentally after typing the wrong location into Google maps, but that mistake turned out working out great! This is not just a place for kids. We spent a good couple hours exploring band learning about the different gems and minerals, pondering the beauty of some of the less common specimens. We secretly picked a heart made from a certain unique stone for each of us, played in the petting zoo and bought some great mementos! My favorite section is the fossils. I saw an awesome trilobite specimen that I just had to have, and Joe gave me a great price! He was very kind and answered all of out questions. Definitely stop by here if you are in the area and spend some time wandering the store and learning about minerals, geology, and see some really cool stuff! Visited March 2016
  • My three kids had a blast here...they loved it...the lady in the front was absolutely the best and very knowledgeable... My daughter loved her.... Sorry I couldn't remember her name she had long brown hair...she was working very hard but had time to patiently go over everything...
  • I have recently moved into this area and this place was really fun and it's just a great little place all the way around. Especially for the kids. Had a lovely experience from the goat's to mining for gems. It was a good time.
  • Helpful staff. Lots of trinkets to look at. The actual gem mining is obviously just dirt with some rocks put in, but fun for the kids.
