  • Audubon has really nice trails for hiking and or running. They offer several different paths that you can choose for however far you want to hike or run.  more »
  • Great for casual, short hikes in town on nice days. Limited parking, only one dog trail, overpriced cabins, paddle boats, tennis courts and golf course on site  more »
  • I love visiting Audubon State Park each fall during the month of October. A great place to get away for the day or over your lunch hour.  more »

  • One of the best parks I have visited in Midwest. It is free to visit. There are some activities which cost small amount of money. You can enjoy Kayaking or Canoeing for only 6 dollars an hour. But you have to have cash or personal check. Stuff are super friendly. I go there more than 3 times a month. I like it so much.
  • Beautiful Park. Dense forest. Play grounds for the kids. Hiking trails. Nice place for a picnic.
  • Nonstop bicycles and barking small dogs even late into the night. We have two labs so we have dogs also. We spend time with the so no barking and they are tought not to bark. Park shuts down at 11.00 pm. No quite time till 12.00 am. People with 10' screen tvs turned up loud. Tried playing music to drown them out, gave up went inside. Still heard the movie inside. Went to main office found the Park Ranger watching TV. Explained the problem to him only to get harrassed by a cocky JERK who started questioning me and rasied his voice( WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?) Try doing you job. Left only to get followed back to my campsite and he left again. This Job is perfect for him .NO supervision and you dont do anything but watch TV. ( WE WILL NEVER GO BACK) As far as the rest of the park the swimming area and boat rental and some cabins are closed for ever and left to rot away. Look a like a Ghost Town around the lake. Tall weeds in swimming area nice area for snakes not for family
  • The campground isn't real big, and there seams to be a lot of repeat campers. It's clean also.
  • John James Audubon State Park is one of the crowning jewels of the Henderson Community and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The views and nature trails are the best and the museum can not be beat. A must-see!
