  • This is not just a museum, but a Science Center. It acts as a camp during the summer for children interested in Science. The first Saturday of month they hold a free Science Saturday that helps teach ...  more »

  • This is a great place to take kids (or adults) of any age. The museum is smaller and focused on local paleontology and anthropology with some truly great exhibits. This is an active research center where the resident paleontologists and anthropologists current work makes its way into the exhibits. This means something new and interesting will be there every time you visit. The various events and talks such as "Science Saturdays" and "Researcher speed-dating" (not what you may think but super fun) are both enlightening and entertaining. My wife and I attend events here regularly and take our three kids (ages 4, 4 and 6) to the museum several times a year. Go here, don't let the modest size fool you, this place is a treasure of the community. You'll be glad you did.
  • Great place to take the younger kids. Always changing and interactive. Inexpensive too. Then take a walk across the patio for the water station too, it's free. Learn about water conservation, climate, water cycle. My daughter loved a quick trip when she was little.
  • Awesome place to have a family day. The kids loved learning about the dinosaurs/fossils and local history
  • It is a very nice place with fantastic spots to watch the sunrise and sunset. They have amazing skeletons and other artifacts throughout the museum.
  • I will not be returning to this contradicting museum. Don't waste your $8/person on the non-dinosaur, dinosaur museum. The mammoth was cool, but I've seen more put together ones. Oh, and, meanwhile outside of the Water Conservation building... the WHOLE front entrance was flooded by constantly running sprinklers that were watering desert plants and artificial turf. Talk about not practicing what you preach.
