Absolutely awesome experience. Nate was very well informed and a perfect guide. You can't beat the experience for the price and the gift shop was one of the most reasonable I've ever been in. A must i... read more »
This was a great experience. The 45 minute tour is very interesting and the caverns are really something to see. I took friends from out of town to see this during the week and it was a fun thing to d... read more »
Not worth the pricey tickets. A decent tour in terms of length. Not for young kids. Nothing else to do there and nothing in the town . Do the pioneer mine tour instead
We went here during our vacation in the Poconos. We have been to numerous caves/caverns in our life. This one didn't measure up to any of our previous cave visits. This place is tiny and there was trash and cables and other debris on the ground. The railing was broken in a few places. They had lights on the whole time and it caused algae to grow on the walls. So, the cave itself was quite disappointing :( However, the people were super friendly and they have a very cool gift shop. If you aren't a cave snob like me you will probably have a better time than we did. Otherwise, save your cash and go somewhere better.
Lost River Caverns is a place out of time -- it's one of those old-fashioned, wholesome attractions from way-back-when - and I mean that in the best possible way. Low-key, but very interesting. A great place to visit with the kids (and to keep cool in the summer!)
This place is nice for anyone who would like to take a nice quick guided tour inside a cave. They also have a very interesting gift shop with some really neat gems. The staff was super friendly and very helpful in regards to both the history of the cave and the gems in the gift shop. It's a great place to take the kids for a nice fun day trip. Be careful coming around the corner when entering and exiting the parking lot.
The day we went there were school groups there.. In between the school group tours they took my husband and I down. it was just us and the guide. We had a wonderful guide he was very smart and really explained everything. We may of gotten a bit more being just us and him. We had more of a discussion then just the tour blurb. Wear a jacket it is cold down there and damp.
We were on way to crystal cave saw sign came here instead what s great place geology is my hobby Nate our guide was so nice and so informative the rocks on display were beautiful very very happy my husband took me here idea you should bottle the lost River water id buy it and I wish someone would write a book on this cave I'd buy that too
