Our family was driving between national parks and stopped at Gate of the Mountains for the boat tour. We enjoyed the ride with our captain Brian. It’s an out and back trip and the captain informed and entertained us on the way out. He shared information about the Lewis and Clark Expedition, the Mann Gulch fire, plants and animals in the area, and the history of the settlers that started the boat tours.
My husband and I had been before and enjoyed it so much, we took my mother. Very informational, educational and fun!! Great for all ages! The ride is smooth, the guides are awesome, and the scenery is beautiful! We saw several bald eagles this trip. We will most definitely be back again. Next year we want to do the bat tour!
Tour was delightful. Weather was perfect for the boat ride. Wildlife cooperated by making appearances. Bryan, the tour guide, accomodated passengers by turning boat so all were able to see features he was describing. His description of the Mann fire was excellent.
The place that runs the boat tours does a great job. The boat drivers are informative about the history and events. The boat ride is slow-going but enjoyable. The scenery is amazing, and the price for a 2 hour two seem pretty cheap. Definitely glad we went.
Very nice boat tour. Guide is quite knowledgable and entertaining. Priced fairly too. Amenities are few and need updating. Place had been taken over by spider infestation when I was there, hopefully some serious spraying will happen soon!
