  • It is nice to see the grinding mills. The old-fashioned stores are far & few. Great shop. Great staff
  • Don't drive by without stopping. Great little store with free samples and lots of cool stuff. Corn meal, hush puppy mix, grits- ground on the premise. Jams, honey, many unusual gift items. People are ...  more »

  • Neat location right on the river. They have a water wheel that drives the grind wheels. I normally get the pancake mix and flour. Sometimes the grits and other bits of fun. They have a number of unique gifts and candies too. If you go behind the mill, you can feel the fish too! Heads up no bathroom there, you need to use the restroom at the winery across the street.
  • Nice place, quite a bit of stone ground grains here, reasonably priced
  • Nice location with a novel river-powered mill. I was a bit "miffed" at the the seemingly unfriendliness of the cashiers there. Maybe I caught them at a bad day. But I am the tourist with money to spend would like a little courtesy or at least as much courtesy as I showed while visiting. Maybe next time, I should hope to give them another chance. I liked to have learned more about the mill but they did not seem interested in telling me much about it. Be careful what you buy. We purchased Amish popcorn that wouldn't pop. This popcorn is actually from a place called Berne, IN and I believe it is very old. It smelled bad while partially popping. About only 30% popped and that which popped was chewy. Everything there is rather expensive so I think a little bit better customer service is expected. Nice Southern hospitality.
  • I didn't buy anything from the store, but it was very cool to get to see the mill itself.
  • I cannot wait to visit this place again this upcoming weekend! I never go to Helen, GA without stopping by. All their products are AMAZING!!! I love this place!
