  • We had never been exposed to fried peanuts Wow What a great find! Stop here for, not just peanuts, but apples, firewood, jams, jellies, etc...
  • Nice folks here but they really sock it to the tourists. A small bag of fried peanuts (6 oz) is $3 so you get the idea. We've had the boiled peanuts here before too and they are quite good if you want...  more »

  • love boiled Peanuts anytime any-day they have three kinds ready for you to taste mmm felt like home in the Boro
  • They have the best cinnamon twists I have ever tasted but they have other tasty treats too
  • Best peanuts around. You gotta stop by Fred's for some boiled peanuts to munch on during trip to Unicoi State Park. The staff is always friendly, the Peanuts are always phenomenal and you never know who you might bump into at Fred's. They also have a selection of other items to plunder through. I have seen hats for sale, ceramic wares, local honey, crafts, sodas and more.
  • We always stop when in town. You will be hooked too.
  • Incredible variety of apples. Fred knows them well and willingly takes the time needed to accurately describe them. I also consider myself a Hot Boiled Peanut "Aficionado". His are great.
