  • They are known for their exceptional Zinfandels, but come here and definitely try the cab and many blends they offer. The girl who helped us (sorry I forget your name!) was awesome: knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. Told us she's been there 10 years and started as a bar back/"crystal technician".
  • Had a wonderful experience at Ridge; tasting outside overlooking the vineyards was fantastic. The staff is very well informed and explained the wines and the history of Ridge expertly. Highly recommended!
  • The location and grounds were beautiful and the wine was excellent. Experiencing the history of the winemaker being one of the first to put California on the wine map and the chance to try the area's Zinfandel offerings was a real treat. Unfortunately a few things spoiled it for me. Our tasting room associate was very knowledgeable and passionate, but a bit crude (which really turned my companions off) and made things uncomfortable. I was just about to buy some bottles but they informed me that they don't waive tasting fees for purchases, unless of course your a club member. The fee was reasonable ($15) but I feel gouged when they insist on charging it when I'm willing to spend several hundreds of dollars on their products. I may seek Ridge out at my local wine shop but I left the winery empty handed and won't be returning.
  • Gorgeous tasting room with friendly staff, in a sustainably-designed winery. Delicious figs left on their trellis in early December.
  • My favorite one! (out of 3 Vineyards in my day). the view is beautiful, the wines are good and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I went back the day after to do the tour (1,5hour) which I highly recommend. It starts in the vines, then you see where the wine is produced and you end by a great degustation.
