Where to stay in Healdsburg

Embracing the region's winemaking heritage, Healdsburg provides a large number of hotels and bed and breakfasts, located both in the center and the city's scenic outskirts. To stay close to some of the town's most popular restaurants and bars, book a room near the town plaza. Those planning a longer holiday should consider booking a vacation rental in one of the residential neighborhoods, which is a more budget-friendly option.

  • Portalupi is my favorite Sonoma producer. Not close. Tim's old world sensibility results in wines that are well integrated and have, for me, a perfect blend of fruit, minerality and acid. From the attack to the finish, no one element overwhelms and all are equally satisfying. The Japanese have an expression that translates to: The warmth of the meal is equal to the heart of the host. Well, the quality of these wines is equal to the (craft and) heart of the people at Portalupi. Go and sip.
  • Amazing wine. Seriously amazing. Must try and buy
  • Tasty Reds (which are not usually my favorite). Comfortable little tasting room/ friendly staff. Love the wine in the old milk jugs :-)
  • Had a Wine pairing and a fun time. Petite Sirah was very good.
  • Great approachable wines with a wide variety. Made in an Italian style. Owner was there and a lovely lady.
