Sid planned more than just a fantastic wine tour, he made sure that we had an absolutely perfect day! With a week's notice he managed to get us booked for private tastings with the winemakers of some incredible small label wineries and also got us set up for some amazing wine pairings. Lunch was picked up from an incredible old-timey general store, Jimtown, before going to picnic in a gorgeous garden. Towards the end of the 8-hour tour (you can go for a shorter tour, we just took our time), Sid told us that the last stop would be the best one. I didn't believe that things could get any better, but Sid is always right. Sid got the little details right, too. He loaded our wine purchases into an icepack lined cooler in his trunk and had cold water waiting for us in the car so that we could rehydrate before the next tasting - both are musts on a warm day. His town car was very clean and the ride was very smooth even over gravel/dirt back roads. We are locals and would recommend that any tourist or local looking to drink some incredible wines (or just looking to having a magical day) book a tour with Healdsburg Wine Tours.
