  • This is a great place for hiking or running. The middle trails are flat, while the ridge trails are hilly. Trails are wide dirt fire-road trails, so generally have good footing. Trail maps are placed ...  more »

  • Garin park is unbelievably beautiful. Due to the recent rains, the hills are green dotted with occasional cows grazing. The view of Hayward and the bay are stunning. What a gem right within the city. ...  more »

  • Oh wow! This place is just amazing, I regret not finding it earlier. I was frequently passing by Mission blvd thinking "Mountains are so beautiful, there must be a park nearby!" and sure it's there! Nature, walking trails, even some very old cars are there to top the experience and make it more like a history walk. It's extremely beautiful, especially for those who loves mountains like me. And it feels huge, so it's a perfect escape from city life when you need to.
  • Great park offering picnic tables, bbq grills and bathrooms! $5 parking fee in summer. Walking trails with great view if you choose to go upward. Good family choice....bring your own Frisbees, badminton etc...there are no playground areas.
  • This park is so expansive and actually has multiple entrances. Beautiful rolling hills and quiet scenery when you hike to the top areas. My favorite place in hayward.
  • Peaceful place. I saw a family of coyotes which was kind of scary since a man was running away from them and we didn't even know coyotes were scaring him off. But that place is awesome. I love it. Free parking on weekdays. Sometimes on sunday as well
  • This is more of a recreation area than it is a park. It is an open grazing area so if walking dogs beware of coming up on cattle. There are several gates to go through, please leave them how you found them, closed. Enjoy being outdoors and free so close to the city.
