The Winery at La Grange Reviews
We was heading to another winery we saw this one and wanted try it. Very pretty view. House and Grounds are really nice looking. Services? Not as friendly or inviting. No conversation from the tasting... more »
My husband and I visited on 9/20/17 in the afternoon for the first time at a friend's recommendation, and it was my first time at any winery. The location was beautiful and easy to find. They had many... more »
To enjoy a wonderful day trip from the District and its Va. burbs from spring to late summer, trek out to Haymarket to spend an hour or two at La Grange before or after a visit to very nearby Burnside... more »
This is a really nice place, wide open and spacious with a good variety of wines. If you're not sure which one you'll like you can take a white flight or a red flight (there's also an extra list for members only, if that's your thing), then you can take a bottle to either drink in the grounds or take away. It's the kind of place where it's easy to just sit back and relax, work through a couple of glasses, and know you'll be quite happy to sit there a while and not have to drive any time soon. You may be allowed a "teaser taster" of a single members-only wine. I took them up on that and it was amazing. It's just a shame my state's licensing laws don't allow them to ship or I'd probably have signed up right here and then. The staff are helpful and friendly. There's really a lot to like about this place.
Great facility with a lot of Civil War history and one worker was about to tell me a lot about it. The wine was very nice and staff was knowledgeable and proud of what they do. They were very conversational during the tasting and had amazing customer skills.
Spent an enjoyable afternoon here from out of town. Although they were busy it did not feel crowded, and the service was friendly and attentive. Heather did our wine tasting and she was wonderful and knowledgeable. We bought 4 bottles to take home, and will definitely stop by again when we next visit the area.
Wow! The tasting room is an old two story house that is so comfortable. The upstairs parlor rooms make you want to stay and sip wine all day.
Reasonably priced tastings, good wine, friendly staff, and a scenic location.
