  • After a descent of 1067 metres above the level of the sea and traverse the chain of Craters of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you reach the point where you have an extraordinary view of this eroded rock which formed Holei Sea Arch, being a very good ending for this tour.

  • Fantastic views from the road . This is the most interesting part of the ever growing island of Hawaii. One gets the sense that the life is happening as you drive along
  • This active lava area is unique and always changing. Live flows are just a few miles away (see for lava location info). Holei sea arch is just one of the attractions here at the end of chain of craters road. You can walk to Kalapana if you really want the full tour! A new emergency access gravel road is yours for the traversing!
  • The drive here is amazing. Dramatic landscape. The arch is somehow still standing after getting pounded everyday by an angry sea. Wind seems to blow consistent all the time. Small shack on site with drinks, snacks, and postcards.
  • Drive from the national park gate is nice, many stops, and great final spot. Follow @dahoers on IG. More photos like this one.
  • Beautiful little spot at the end of chain of craters road. Probably best light for photographs earlier in the day. Nothing you'll lose your mind over but it is cool to see the weathering down of the lava.
  • Picturesque so bring your camera. These are very powerful currents on the island. One look at the jagged rocks and you will respect the force it must take to shape the arches and the face of the cliffs.
