  • Recent activity in the park has resulted in major portions of this trail being marked off limits to tourists.

  • Parking spot near Devastation trail was easy to find.The trail took us about half hour. The trail starts and ends with tropical forest, with devastation hill in the middle. We are amazed to see little...  more »

  • Interesting enough, but not my favorite trail in the park. If you're looking for a much more interesting (but also longer and more strenuous) hike, I highly recommend the Kilauea Iki trail instead.
  • Offers some distinct views back across the inner caldera toward the Jager museum.
  • Truly is a trail of devastation. Something I've never seen before. Quite amazing.
  • When else in your life can you walk on what was a volcano!
  • nice little hike with barely any other visitors.
