  • We were here in the off season so it was very quiet. Very clean park and I'm sure a great place to go if you like to fish. We just walked around and enjoyed the scenery and wildlife.
  • We spent several hours hiking different trails in Susquehanna State Park. We met up with a few equestrians and saw an eagle soaring while walking along the river and up the hills. We hiked on the blue...  more »

  • Large park located on the lower Susquehanna River. It's pretty remote with dirt roads in some parts of the park. Boating, Camping, Fishing, Hiking, Picnicking, & Historical Buildings are all located in and around this park. One nice thing that stands out about this park. I live locally so I visit often. It's always about 10 degrees (f) cooler than the surrounding area. The forest is so dense and the park is on the north side of a hill so the sun is blocked for most of the day. And water is all around helping to cool things off. This is a great place to go on a hot summer day, or when you want to see snow and ice in the winter when it's gone everywhere else.
  • Great place to hike and visit along the river. We have seen beaver, heron, bald eagles, and other wildlife. Beautiful scenery and historic stops along the way.
  • A nice little park with a picnic area and some historic stuff to look at it plus water access. the trail system is small but for a quick hike its very convenient.
  • Great camping with variety of hiking and site seeing. Staff was very friendly. Plenty to do during a weekend stay.
  • Nice park on the shores of the Susquehanna River. Historic buildings, hiking trails, picnic area. Nothing spectacular but a nice place to get outdooors.
