  • We were mostly. disappointed because despite some good science exhibitions, the spaces were too small, so it was difficult to enjoy anything as we were constantly bumped by other people.
  • Good destination for elementary aged school children. Covers a very wide range of topics, certainly something for everyone.
  • We get a yearly membership and spend enough hours there to make it worth it. The kids have enjoyed it since they were 2yrs. Their favorite is the outerspace room, but the changing exhibit is fun to ch...  read more »
  • The Connecticut Science Center is an incredible and engaging museum to say the least; our child was engaged virtually from beginning to end -- with just a 20 minute lapse or so -- during the 4 1/2 hours that we visited. The museum is not overly fraught with exhibits: Rather it balances just the right amount of hands-on interactive, visual, and audio experiences that keep boredom and fatigue at bay. The museum also excels at the way it presents modern science with historical science. For a child to be as interested and inquisitive about the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit as our child, given his age, was awe inspiring for me explaining and teaching fundamental physics and mechanics; worm gears, sprockets, etc. tied our question-answer dialogue back to the kid's appreciation for Lego's, bicycles, helicopters. We finished with the waterplay exhibit where people get to interact with whirlpools, water trajectories, and other activities in context of fluid dynamics.
  • Great place for fun and science. We cannot cover this in one day. Has 6 floors of eye candy for all the geeks and kids out there. Has a laser harp which is fun. A parachute which kids can drive. Lots of button based life size toys. Has a roof top garden with a cute dino which makes for a good photo opportunity. Has a gift shop with all the geek stuff and stuffed toys.
  • Our family loves the science center! We have an annual pass and visit several times throughout the year. There are so many things to see and do for all ages and the fact that they bring in new exhibits keeps it worth revisiting. Our kids love all the hands-on displays and the mini workshops - one day we built and learned about paper airplanes, another day we learned how to program Ozobots. The benefit of having the pass makes it easy to really explore different things at each visit and there always seems to be something we haven't seen or done before! Looking forward to our next trip!
  • Horrible service! My first time attending today 6/13/16 and every thing was going fine until I was Ganged up and accused by staff and assistant manager of eating in the exhibit! No way would I make a big deal about a rule! But to be accused and having people look at me as if I stole something was the worst experience ever I would not bring my child back and will request my son school to maybe consider Stamford going forward! I'm sure they would treat visitors better! Next time you want approach someone pull them to the side and get your facts! Clearly your staff is underpaid and salty to want to tell lies of me eating when I wasn't the only person holding food in the exhibit! Maybe it's the way I look! Very unprofessional !!!
  • Awesome time. Large water play area for little kids. Might want to pack an extra set of clothes if they will be doing that. There are aprons for the kids, but they aways seem to find a way to get wet.
