  • Great free exhibit. Lots of activities available so it's kid friendly. There are lots of replica items link the fort and some others like a cut-out of the boat that Lewis and Clark used. Very informative and worth a quick stop from the river road.
  • Great full-size replica of the keelboat that the took up the river, and how it was stocked. Friendly, knowledgeable history guides. Free!
  • Always like to visit here. Learn something new every visit. If you're lucky enough to visit when they have demonstraters you won't regret it!
  • We visited the Lewis and Clark IL State Historic site at Fort Du Bois and it was such an amazing piece of History. Although it's a replica of the Fort and a cabin, it's unfortunate that the State of Illinois does not provide funding for the upkeep of this Historic Site.
  • Great exhibit, lots of good information, and lots of things for kids to do hands-on
