  • Walk out on the dunes, surf the dunes on a snow sled, or drive the dunes in your own SUV/Truck, rent an ATV or simply take a guided tour. We might be back with our own ATV's instead of our family SUV!...  more »
  • We were fortunate enough to stay in a cottage on Silver Lake with a view across to the massive sand dunes. We spent two days exploring the sand dunes. Our teenagers loved climbing to the top of a dune...  more »
  • We had been to Sleeping Bear Dunes so we were not sure it would be worthwhile to stop here and see more sand. Totally wrong! We may have liked these even better. So much more to see and participate in...  more »
  • One of the most impressive places I´ve ever been in my life. The dunes are just incredible! This place is absolutely a must!
  • We love this place! ATVs aren't allowed on here, but you don't need one to enjoy this sandy paradise. This side of the dunes is more for the naturalist in all of us. There are a couple thousand acres of rolling sand hills to hike around on. When you reach the tops you get a nice view of both Silver Lake and Lake Michigan. Out in the distance the ATV park can be seen while the riders ascend the tops of the hills into view, only to vanish moments later into the sandy valleys. Boats are cruising the lakes while families enjoy the beaches for some much needed cool off time. Once you've taken everything in you can ride the sand slides back down to the foothills.
  • Bring or rent a 4x4 or dune buggy and drive around on the dunes. Be warned you can break your ride if you get too crazy. The rest of the park is nice for hiking or a day at the beach. It can get really crowded at times. So I would not recommend this park if you are trying to find solitude, quiet and get in touch with nature.
  • Lots of fun for the whole family! Great swimming are th as t isn't too deep for the kids thanks to the ever shifting sand dunes. Helpful and friendly staff. Bring your boat, camping gear or just the kids. Everyday is beautiful!
  • It was wonderful! The history, the views, and the activities are great! Too busy though around Labor Day
