  • Every time we go, we find so many Petoskey stones and other unique rocks/fossils that our pockets are full when we leave.
  • The attraction is extremely important to me and my family. In his youth my father sailed the Great Lakes and frequently was guided by this beacon. I am 83 now but when I was 62 my father died; he had ...  read more »
  • This lighthouse, sits off the beaten path, by about 5 mins, but it is well worth it. We parked in the parking lot, checked out the old school house and proceeded to the lighthouse. We were there after...  read more »
  • This is a completely biased opinion - my grandparents have a cottage down the road from here, and I've been coming up for the last 34 years each summer. It's a part of my childhood. The museum is always fun to go through, despite the number of times I've been; you can even climb the tower for a small fee and look out over the point and lake. It's more than worth it. • Tuesday afternoon and the parking lot is full but you can't climb the lighthouse until the weekend? The old school house was very well preserved but some of the other artifacts on the grounds were clearly not being protected for preservation. The views from the beach were nice but there are better along Lake Huron.
  • What a great Old Lighthouse, even though our visit was cut short because of a gathering Storm. This brought a safe conclusion of our first day visiting the Light Houses in Michigan
  • Full of history and plenty of culture to observe. And the staff was very pleasant and very kind
  • One of my favorite places to visit! Make sure to walk out on the point, and along the beaches.
