  • We go every year to see if it has changed. It looks pretty much the same as twenty year ago. Still one of the premier beaches in the tri counties area.

  • We have always enjoyed visiting Lake St Clair Metropark, even when it was called Metropolitan Beach. There is a nice Nature Center and bird feeder area and several miles of nature paths through woods and around a river and some lakes. The beach on Lake St. Clair has a great view and is fun to swim at when it isn't full of muck. There is a new splash park for the kids and lots of paths out to the marina and along the lake and canal. We have seen owls, Great Egrets, Snapping Turtles, Painted Turtles, garter snakes, a Northern Water Snake, groundhogs, muskrats and swans here.
  • It's a nice park, but the layout takes away from all that it offers. The first sight you are greeted to upon entering the park is a giant parking lot. If you wander, you will find many nice amenities you find at other Metro Parks.
  • This is not one of my more favorite parks but they've made some improvements over the years to clean it up and make it nicer. I do visit often because I love the nature trails here. Compared to the other Metro parks I just feel this one is the most lacking. It just feels like a huge parking lot to me. This isn't really the case because they have a huge swimming pool with an awesome water slide, boat marina, beach on the lake, Nature center and trails, basketball courts and a ton of other stuff to do. This probably actually offers more then most of the other parks but it being just so wide open with this massive parking lot in the middle of everything just doesn't do it any justice for looks in my opinion. I guess you'll just have to visit and judge for yourself.
  • Gorgeous Park full of fun things to do from splash Park to put put golf, plenty of things to choose from for an entire day full of adventures. Beautiful hiking trails with lots of wildlife to enjoy! However, the beach is almost always too filthy for me to even consider swimming in. Be prepared if you're planning on swimming in the lake to be very dirty afterwards.
  • Attended a beautiful waterfront wedding. Everything was great until parks police started randomly pulling people over leaving the reception
