  • The visitor center was good and has public restrooms. The hike up the trail initially is somewhat strenuous but definitely doable. There were families with young children who did it without a problem....  more »

  • Not enough parking. We tried to visit while traveling in our 29 foot motorhome. There are 3 bus/motorhome parking spots. All 3 were occupied. We drove to Marquette and ate lunch. Drove back and this time there were 2 motorhomes with a truck and car parked in the 3rd spot. Very disappointed we could not enjoy this National Monument.
  • There is a small museum with an interesting video. The mounds are scattered along miles of hiking trails.
  • Awesome views and great exercise while learning some interesting history.
  • Great area to visit and hike through, the type of area where you feel surrounded by millennia of history.
  • It was alsome we had a blast
