  • My husband loves to play cards and he went into the casino while I shopped in the mall. We were pleasantly surprised at the smoke free environment. Very nice. There were a wide variety of games and sl...  read more »
  • We like coming here to play the video craps! Most affordable you can find in the area and you can still throw the dice. MD law prohibits free alcohol but the prices aren't outrageous. The in house foo...  read more »
  • I have a friend that likes to go here when we are out shoppping. She encouraged me to join their club where you get free tokens to play with. Free is good right?
  • Highly disappointed! I am a craps player for the most part. I have to admit I have very little good to say about Maryland Live. Of all the casinos I seen across the country, I have to say that Maryland Live is the worst, 2nd being Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore. 1st, the positive.... There are a very select few "good dealers" at the craps tables at Maryland Live. Dobrin, Michael, Michael, Brian, Jose, Cynthia and a couple more. These are excellent dealers and if after you read this review you choose to go to Maryland Live to play craps, please look for these dealers. They will treat you well. 2nd, the not so positive..... I have been going to Maryland Live since it opened. At first, it was very nice. A well run casino. Dealers were welcoming and appreciative (reference the names listed above). As time went by I noticed people and attitudes change for the worst. This is no longer a well run casino (at least not at the craps tables). Not even close. Either the casino has hired "plants" to disrupt the rolls (you will definitely know them when you hear them) (One guy smacks the table and screams, another guy will place large confusing bets then argue with the dealer and intimately cancel his bet "over and over again")or the dealers and pit bosses just don't care. Not that I am expecting them to care about my money, just wanted them to be professional. Only in this casino are players allowed to place late bets, leave their hands over the rails as a player shoots, place a bet when the dice are in the air (again and again). The dealers, when they get board they tap the table with the stick or talk amongst themselves only stopping to pick up your chips when the roll ultimately goes south. Better yet, if a dealer is trying to look good for a cute player, the dealer will flirt with that player and put you down, do anything to disrupt your roll even slowly pass you the dice because he thinks that is funny. (to that old black dealer who was kind enough to do that to me.... I hope she gave you her number) I've learned to walk away from the table when dealers like this arrive. I've seen fights break out, I've seen unruly (rude, obnoxious, vulgar, threatening) players be allowed to play. I've seen the dealers / pit bosses do nothing to gain control of an unruly player. This is the only casino that I have been in that allows such behavior. I can honestly say without reservation. I will not return to Maryland Live or Horseshoe. I've talked to several dont's players who now go to Horseshoe because they said they are no longer welcome at Maryland Live. They won too much money. To be honest.... I can see why. I understand and expect the odds to be in the casinos favor. But do they really need to stack the deck in their favor. If you think I am just an angry looser then please ignore what I have written and go see for yourself. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. One last thing, please go to Maryland Live on a Friday night or Saturday. The music is was too loud, there is no place to park (close to the casino) and all the interesting people seem to go to the casino on these nights. I've said my piece, good luck
  • I traveled out to Maryland Live Casino from Richmond, Va on a bus trip with my mom. It was my very first time ever being to a casino and in celebration of my twenty first birthday. You would think being carded would be the highlight of finally turning twenty one, but it was actually quite the opposite here at Maryland Live Casino. The door guards in red blazer coats were very unfriendly and unprofessional. They had no communication amongst one another or no apparent signs of awareness or observance of what was going on between one another. I could walk pass and one ask me for my ID, and circle back around all for the guard right beside the other to ask me all over again. When explaining to them that someone just ID'd you, they gave no explanations as to why they were doing this again. They took no moment to give you a brief synopsis of policy / procedure as to why it made sense or even been " mandatory " that one check you just after another. Instead they'd cut you off and get smart, one man even stated " ma'am I asked you to see your ID" completely missing the fact that me as a customer obviously had no problem in providing a legal id as I was approved to originally enter the casino, it was a matter of trying to understand why in the hell do y'all keep asking me to do this. And it didn't happen just once. Before entering you have to have valid id to receive a red card with your first and last name on it showing proof of age, And when you're wearing the card visibly as you enter and exit I'm not sure why they do this. My experience here from beginning to end was very piss poor. I was on a timed trip spent the first hour waiting for them to fix my mothers spelling on her badge that was typed up incorrectly. When speaking with supervisors, they were very nonchalant about the fact that we had to get back in a very long line to wait to be serviced AGAIN due to employee error on a limited trip. My mom asked what could be done about the inconvenience of what was suppose to be such a significant moment for myself, the original supervisor she spoke with immediately jumped to conclusion that she wanted some type of credit on the red cards or something and said what could not be done. Working in customer service myself I know the first thing you do is apologize about what has been done, address it, and then see what can be done for a customer/ member at all , if not atleast listen to thier concerns. There was no staff stationed in areas for quick questions or help for new comers / first timers. We literally had to figure everything out ourselves. We were also asked if it was our first time attending and told that there may be rewards for those attending for the first time, even though the very first person who checked us in said there were no benefits to being a first time visitor. The person I checked in with when I let him know this was my first visit just smiled and said welcome , like " ok congratulations." lol this entire experience was such a joke from beginning to end. Machines were out of service, when you did get a hold of staff they would tell you they'll be right back and never show up. I played every little game I could with my little $30 that came on my card for the bus trip, when I finally started having fun I was winning and losing. Winning again, and lost again. That part was fun and a learning experience but I don't think I would've felt so poorly after losing had I had a GREAT experience. You guys really have to do better. Definitely dropped the ball. And from what my mom says, this isn't even your biggest location .. This one is much newer abd smaller , yet staff acts more busy, rude , and uninterested. You're provided no drinks or offered drinks ( I'm guessing I had to go find them), then you lose a little money and go home. If I knew this trip would provide this experience I definitely would've spent my sunny Saturday in VA.
  • I am actually one of the regular customer at live. i been there since they opened. i use to be win, probably i was new player . since last year 11 i dint win any thing this casino. i dont kmow whats wrong with this place. i spent so much money . i dint even win anything at all only LOSSSSSSSSSS...... NO idea i . they have been changing lot even thought expensive everything / GO BATHROOm, HAVE TO PAY TIP GET BOTTLE OF WATER OR COFFEE HAVE TO PAY TIP. KIND OF TIRING . but i like this place . nice place to hang out .
  • Ehh... we usually stop thru different casinos when we travel and this one wasn't any better than average. We put in quite a bit but the machines just weren't hitting. My hubby played some black jack ($15 min) & the dealer seemed to b pretty new and made a few mistakes. Of course it wud b more fun if the returns were bumped up a bit more so ppl win more often. Never saw a drink lady. Good location though and lots to do around the casino!
  • Maryland Live is a fun/bad/happy/sad place to be. I used to get a few benefits for spending all my hard-earned cash in a place that doesnt really care about its people but now I never get any. The craziest thing is that I honestly spend practically everything I earn here in hopes to win a lot of money but still cant even get a free $10 slot play or a buffet. Ive honestly brought over 15 different people to check out Live! and its been nothing but dissappoints in my efforts to promote a casino that doesny really care about its players. Most of the dealers at the casino are helpful and fun to be around which makes losing my money not as bad but still. The rewards system should add something for members referring other people. I love bringing new people to Maryland Live! But wish you'd offer an incentive for it. I enjoy being here more then I do Horseshoe though.
