  • Always the first stop when we go north. The view is picture perfect and truly can't be beat. It's a great indicator of the beauty that awaits you all over Kauai

  • We stopped here on the way back from the North Shore and the views are just beautiful! There's a place off the road to park safely so you can hop out and take pictures.

  • Just breathtaking! The view of the valley is amazing! I recommend making it one of your stops! There is usually plenty of room for several cars to pull in and most folks stopping are only there a few minutes to take some pics!
  • Great opportunity to see a sublime view of the Hanalei Valley by just driving to the parking lot! We were driving up to Limahuli Garden & Preserve National Tropical Botanical Garden and the lookout is along the way. I wouldn’t have driven an hour just to see the lookout in and of itself, but it was a bonus sight along our journey!
  • The panoramic view from this spot is fabulous. Binoculars, of course, would be a great help to see even more. However, it is more than just a beautiful landscape. This is an important agricultural site as long as people live here. The most significant area to look at is Taro fields which are composed of many agricultural parcels. This is a principal crop for Native Hawaian people and it is grown whole year around. Hawaiians believe that the taro plant is sacred. In Hawaiian, it is called "kalo". Taro is a tropical root vegetable that can be consumed in many ways. There are taro chips, flour, pancakes, hummus and bread. Also, it can be baked. But the most popular way is to mash taro root into a paste, great alternative to potatoes. Great stop to learn about Hawaian culture.
  • Just perfect! We waited to get there for our last day in the island and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful scenary, beach perfect for swimming and surfers were having fun too.
  • Need a place to stretch your legs after a long drive? This place is where to be. Not only will you get some fresh air but you this vista point is beautiful place to take a family picture or a selfie. Don't forget to say "hi" to Heihei.
