  • Who always wanted to know how hot the exotic fruits in European supermarkets, may be further here. Of course, the selection is seasonal, but the 16 different species were sufficient for us and at least half had we not known before or tasted. Was presented and explained by a volunteer ("WWOOFers") and at the end still a tour through a part of the system followed, to clarify the origin of the fruits.

  • Friendly farm stand with local fruit. We sampled lychee, egg fruit guava and jackfruit. Located next to Troy's plate lunch just past Hasegawa's store.  more »
  • This side of the road fruit stand is amazing with a wide variety of Maui Fruits and Coconuts, Nuts and local favorites. Right down the road past Hasegawa Store.  more »

  • We went to a tour of organic farm. Unfortunately it rained so much that day that we couldn't go in the garden. But the fruit tasting was pretty exciting. I tasted at least 10 different fruits that i haven't had before.
  • I had a horrible wxperience, with the bosses daughter Buffy, she's 40 something, she was disgustinly DRUNK and RUDE to me, I had my children with me and they had to watch as this drunk lady belittled me in front of an intire group.Worst experience of my life. never will I ever go there again because of the DRUNK Buffy....
  • Our family fell upon Ono Farms by accident. It was our 3 teenagers and my husband and my favorite part of the trip. The young worker cut open a Jackfruit for us to try. She made us coffee. She made us the best popcorn I have ever tasted. All of this is done with solar power. They grow everything there. You can tour their gardens, visit with the neighbors that walk there and purchase momentos
  • If you have some free time while your on the island and have an adventurous palate come and try the exotic fruit tour! It's a farm so it's not 5 star accommodations so don't expect linen service here but do expect: friendly knowledgable staff, delicious and some not so delicious fruit but either way a great experience for you and your mouth! Provided is their local made organic Ono coffee which was smooth and not bitter at all! They will take you for a walking tour around the farm (pending it's not raining) and you can take some of the fruit home as well! We can from the south side of the island and it took us a solid 2.5 hrs from Kihei. The drive is both breath taking and perilous! You are literally driving on the side of the mountains so lots of cliffs and even dangerous stream crossings but so worth it. The views and lookout points are so awe inspiring!
  • Extremely helpful staff. Arrived 10 minutes before closing. Amy went out of her way to explain all of the fruits while giving us taste samples. We bought fresh juice drinks and fresh coffee. We were there well after closing. Must of been the Michigan connection. Go Blue.

Where to stay in Hana

Located on the southeastern end of Maui--an island known for featuring lodging options for every type of traveler--Hana boasts a single luxury resort and several more affordable tropical retreats. Expect higher prices if you plan to stay near the water, especially if you want an ocean view from your bed. To stay more economically, consider one of Hana's good-value rental cottages, which make up in simple hospitality what they lack in modern amenities.
