  • Beautiful despite the rain. Ask for AAA discount and get $5 off. They charge per person, not per car. So be prepared. 
  • If you are already in Hana, this is a pleasant Garden to spend an hour or so in. Mostly native plants and not so much flowers. There is a very big Heiau that took128,000 days to build. As it is a temp...  more »
  • Paths were not marked and overgrown. Really couldn't find any path in and the thought of not getting out in a timely fashion did not appeal to us at all.

  • We had a great guide He identified all the plant. He cleared the paths through the garden. We learned a lot that day. If you didn't have a guide it I could see how it could be confusing with out a guide.
  • If want to wander around in someone's back yard hoping you can eventually find your way out, this is the place. I had flashbacks to exploring my grandpa's old farm in Iowa. The place is totally over grown, like any other tropical rain forest, but none of the trees or plants are labeled and the paths are just areas that happen to have been cut down at some point in the recent past. Enter at your own risk. $3 a person
