  • So, I am a sceptical person. When I read headlines like "the best..." I question, read reviews and make my own statement. That's what I did with this place, and bought the bread. Kili (I hope this is ...  more »
  • Simple fare, we had hot dogs and banana bread. Reasonable stop along the way, next time we brought food along, but this place certainly met the need for lunch.  more »
  • When I made the stop here to use the restroom, the banana bread was fresh out of the oven, so I had to buy a loaf. The price isn't bad considering that most everything on Maui is expensive. I didn't g...  more »

  • The banana bread at Aunt Sandy's located nearby was to die for. This banana bread would have been good if I didn't have Aunt Sandy's to directly compare it to. If you are looking for great, life-changing banana bread go to Aunt Sandy's. If you are looking for good banana bread...this will do.
  • Service was wonderful. Great selection of things to chose from. Great baked goods to shave ice. It's the last stop to get anything before you get to Hana.
  • Great spot to rest and have a snack. No need to bring food there is quite of bit spots on the way to Hana to eat. You actually spend less money than going to the grocery store.
  • I would most certainly recommend stopping here if you 1. Have to use the bathroom, and 2. Need a quick beverage or snack. I am not sure of the specialty items the cook on site but a regular turkey sandwich is just that; regular. It's simple and if you are hungry this is the best option you have if you came unprepared and without a packed lunch. (Highly recommended).
  • I used a porta potty at the beginning of the trip and a part of my soul shrivelled up and died when there was urine and feces literally everywhere with no toilet paper and no running water. I had to mentally calculate how long i thought i could wait vs how long i thought until the next toilet vs how long until i puked. That is why this place gets 5 stars. I will gladly buy yummy but expansive banana bread and a $1.55 bag of m&ms so I can wash my hands of the filth of the previous location. The porta potty was cleaner here and there are tables to sit and a cute wooden cut out to take photos in. Thank you for being there when I needed you the most.

Where to stay in Hana

Located on the southeastern end of Maui--an island known for featuring lodging options for every type of traveler--Hana boasts a single luxury resort and several more affordable tropical retreats. Expect higher prices if you plan to stay near the water, especially if you want an ocean view from your bed. To stay more economically, consider one of Hana's good-value rental cottages, which make up in simple hospitality what they lack in modern amenities.
