  • This museum is a gem for anyone interested in the earliest days of motorcycles, planes and autos - think in terms of a 1000cc single cylinder engine putting out a massive 5 hp. (your average small lawnmower). It focuses on Glenn Curtiss, a Thomas Edison-like inventor, who later partnered with Alexander Graham Bell to create early record-setting planes. High quality exhibits in a great setting. Well worth the trip.
  • A must-visit if you're into aviation and travelling through the finger lakes area. Very close to Hammondsport, and full of cool stuff. Covers vehicles from late 1800s to present-day, focusing in on the golden age of flight between the World Wars. If he's around, talk to Bryan. He's restoring an old salvaged P-40 on-site, and know's pretty much everything you need to know about that beautiful piece of history. He's been working on it for 7 years, and says it'll be flightworthy in another 7. I can't wait!
  • It was very interesting. All about the history of aircrafts with parts that are in very good condition. We entered with a donation price as they were doing some construction and did not want to charge us. We were also able to visit the back room where the workers were putting together a crashed P-40 warhawk. We were able to ask questions and get more details about the museum. I recommend this place if you are nearby.
  • Great museum, many attractions from aviation, motorcycles ,automobiles, boating had a great time. A true tribute to the father of naval aviation.
  • Lots of history. Casual walking at your pace
