  • Sleeping Giant is a very nice state park. There are hiking trails that go for awhile. It is a nice day trip. We bring lunch there with us which we need to hike. Beautiful area. Enjoy going there every...  more »
  • There is a main trail to the "Tower" up top - this is very wide, well maintained, flat, and lined with gravel. This trail is fine, but somewhat boring and very busy on a nice day. Fortunately they have a pretty extensive network of smaller trails that are more what you'd expect of hiking. We went on a very busy day and found most of the other trails nearly deserted. If you wanted, you could certainly walk the trails for the good part of a morning or afternoon. $9 for parking for CT residents.
  • It is nice and well maintained. The hikes are good, there are several levels you can choose from. Their recreation area is pretty good as well, we usually go there to BBQ. It's pet and family friendly as well.
  • Wonderful hiking. Had a great time. There's everything from beginner to intermediate trails. Awesome views at certain points.
  • Great place to hike, maintained for the most part, with volunteers to help where staffing lacks due to funds. Enough of a hike to be challenging, especially the back trails, but not overwhelming and beautiful in any season.
  • This is one of my favorite places to go to. It's beautiful and kept up. There's all types of different levels of hiking so you have different ranges to choose from.
