  • While we didn't make it all the way to the tower or to the old quarry, this hike was so beautiful and the path was clearly marked. High parking fees, though.
  • There is nothing quite like fall in New England. The air was crisp and fresh as we started our hike on the red path. We somehow ended up on the blue path and came up to this castle like building. The ...  read more »

  • Tons of trails. Main easy trails are crowded on the weekends. Amazing views of Quinnipiac, New Haven, and LIS. You can reach the peaks and overlooks in 30 minutes. There are trails hidden in the park that are well worth the find. Something for everyone
  • Love this place. If you like to hime there is a whole other end if the park that connects up with miles of trails most people don't know about. Great views too.
  • The absolute gem of hiking in southern CT. Miles of beautiful terrain that can be as strenuous or lilting as you'd like. The blue trail is for the real hikers and the tower trail is for the typical sight seeing populace. Weekdays are pretty much always a good time to go, as the park fills to capacity on weekends regularly. I can't speak highly enough of this state park, arguably the best in CT.
  • This was an awesome place to hike it's 1.5 miles up the main trail.... to the tower although right now the tower is under renovation and its only open to enter on the weekends, but past the tower ... on the trail are Vista points with awesome views, a must see. I am glad I visited this place... dog friendly. 🤗
  • Nice varied terrain. You can do as technical a hike or trail run as you're up for. I've been here a couple dozen times and I don't think I've ever done the same trail combinations twice!
