  • Nothing really fantastic here but a real fishing pier lots of Charters going out catch fish, if you're in the area worth a little stop. gives you a taste of a Old Town fishing Pier.  more »
  • This is a real working harbor, so mind the signs. There are two parts, we seem to prefer the southern point, but it's a short drive or walk up to the northern end, Either are great, with some nice pla...  more »
  • This morning about 40 veterans invaded Pillar Point for some charter fishing. The boardwalk and pier were well kept. There is great opportunity for bird and people watching. HMB gets extremely busy on...  more »

  • If you are fortunate enough to get a spot here you will not willingly let it go until death. This is a great place to launch a fishing trip for all kinds of sea creatures. The staff at the harbor maintains it to the highest standard. The community that exists between boat owners here is symbiotic and beautiful.
  • Great place to visit. On Sundays you can buy crab and Sea Urchins right from the fishing boats. Great experience and fun for the whole family. We had a tremendous time here.
  • A great harbour experience!!! Fresh catches of the day can be purchased from the local fisherman, a great pier to wander and check out the boats. For boaters the docks are a little run down, and there are some pretty rough boats, but it has its charm. The anchorage is amazing and best of all free, once you get used to the fog horn.
  • Great spot for everything example Sea Food Restaurant, Sports Fishing Trips, Kayak Renting , fishing pier access, beach access hiking and biking .
  • Come on down on a nice day and tour the fisherman's pier, see the crab boats and yachts in the harbor. Plenty of wildlife as this is all part of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary: sea lions, seals, littoral creatures and birds, etc. Frequent whale sightings! Several places to eat nearby, plus Maverick's Surf Shop and HMB kayak rental. If you're bringing your boat, call the harbormaster for slip availability - easy marina to access, just watch the shoals before the breakwater. Marine fuel and pumpout (remember this is a marine sanctuary!) available. Markets within walking distance; check out the new Spangler's.
