  • This trail is very pretty and provides some great views. It's nice for walking or biking. Just beware of the bikers who are a little crazy and seem to be training on this well-travelled trail.
  • We stayed in the "Beach house hotel" which is near to this 7 mile trail. It is excellent trail to walking, running and biking. The rental bike and kayaking is next to the Beach house hotel. It is good...  more »

  • It's one of the best picnic point, though camping area is also available but you need to register your self as its clearly mention that camping for registered person, park on the road and walk to beach or pay $10 for convinient parking just next to beach, so far one of the best beach no too much crowded, plenty of benches and grills for BBQ. Very nice and beautiful place for family event I am planning to have family event soon
  • We camped there a few nights ago and very nice beach. Campground was noisy but manageble. Staff was very accomodating and even found time to get us a spot when they were labelled full. Just electric and sewer dump but worked good. Recommend to folks looking to have nice beach experience at a california state park.
  • It was so cold at Half Moon Bay State Beach in the morning at 10, that we had to wait out in the car to come out. We were appropriately ready for the beach but not for the torrent of cold winds that were hitting us. Finally sun came out in the afternoon and we relished the beach to fullest. It's a lovely place and definitely a good weekend drive from Bay area.
  • One of best picnic points! Restrooms are available but completely lack in fooding options. There beach is windy and on slightly cool side.
  • Very pretty beach/cliff side. Water is pretty treacherous for inexperienced swimmers - so be wary of that. Also, the majority of water fountains were not working while I was here which was a hassle when trying to fill up my water bottle. Definitely recommend stopping by here.
