  • Went there for the "China Lights Lantern Festival". A very nice botanical garden to visit in Hales Corners. Surprise to see such a neat place in a small town. It is part of the Milwaukee County park s...  more »
  • I visited the gardens during the Chinese Lights exhibit and loved it. Beautifully manicured gardens and sights to see. Highly recommend it!  more »
  • We had a beautiful day, though slightly overcast. Enjoyed about 90 minutes of walking the beautiful grounds for about $5 each. Well worth it.  more »
  • Everyday is different at the gardens. It's a wonderful place to walk, meditate by a water fall or Babbling Brook. Plenty of places to sit down along the trails so if your a beginner walker it's a wonderful place to start. At this time they're setting up the China Lights and it's so much fun walking around the gardens watching them Assemble the different animals and displays. There are beautiful restrooms and banquet facilities. I am now a member and have a season pass which also allowed me into other gardens around the country for free and our own Milwaukee domes. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity.
  • Went tonight. Absolutely worth the money!! Beautiful lighting effects. 47 different stations plus live Chinese dancers on 2 stages. What a gorgeous night. 72° in October!! Check out my videos and pics. I bet you'll go next year if you can get tickets. Get them as early as possible. Very crowded from 5:30 till about 8:00pm. Then it thinned out a bit. Food, beverages, also offered.
  • We went on a Saturday. After waiting in traffic for 40 minutes to park half a mile away we were treated to a 90 minute line to get in. Inside was just as bad. The crowd barely moved through the light display. It was difficult to see the lights while avoiding strollers and picture takers. Also there were no exits and few places to stop for older or disabled visitors. We were literally trapped and just barely inched along to the end. Last year was a mess but we thought it was first year growing pains. This year was far worse. I recommend going on a week night and not buying tickets in advance so you can simply leave. This is truly a shame as the skill and work that goes into the display was completely lost due to ticket mismanagement.
  • It was an awful experience. There was maybe 5 traffic helpers directing traffic to NOWHERE!!!! It was so crowded nobody could park anywhere and the traffic of cars on the road went as far as the eye could see. This event needs a DIFFERENT venue. It can't accommodate the people that want to see it. People were waiting in line for HOURS. The way this event was set up is downright SHAMEFUL.
  • Do not go even if there is a chance of rain. We went, there was no bands, no refunds, no other rain dates we could go. It took the mood away from the entire show. I would not go back again. It is a terrible time of year to have it with all the rain off and on. Go at your own risk.
