  • If you need a break from the crowds of Gulf Shores. We took the Pine Beach Trail. It was a lovely secluded trail. It was peaceful and relaxing.  more »
  • By going in the early morning hours you are able to see dolphins feeding in the gulf. You also beat the heat when hiking to the beach. The trails are moderate in difficulty. I would not advise taking ...  more »

  • Very nice well kept walking trails with plenty of wildlife and vegetation to view. Great view of the lagoon with a viewing tower.
  • I visited with my church group during a youth retreat. The park is very peaceful & the trails are wide. Has swamps, lagoons, & giant sand dunes with low oak trees. I wish I could have explored all of it, but my group was in a hurry b/c they had to pick up someone. I found 3 perfect scallop shells on the beach, cacti in an abandoned foundation, & nice sand dollar pieces that make for decent skipping stones.
  • Never get tired of spending time walking the trails, and exploring different areas of the Refuge. So lucky to live a few minutes from this gem!
  • A little out of the way but so worth the trip. Beautiful walk
  • Wonderful walk on gravel path. Nice signage.
