  • We all loved this tour including my two teenagers. Really interesting and amazing sights very easily accessible.  more »
  • This cavern system is ranked #2 in the US and when my parents visited they wanted to go. It was over a 2 hour drive from where I live, but we made good time especially as it was a weekday. We arrived ...  more »
  • My son is at Fishburne Military School and we decided to go and see Luray Caverns for the afternoon. His TAC officer steered us in the direction of Grand Caverns in Grotto instead. We took his advice ...  more »
  • Lovely underground caverns. It was informative and interesting. The caves are amazing. There are several shield formations in the caves, they said nobody knows how they are formed but I was quickly able to look that up after the tour. It would have been nice to have a little more time to look around but they move you through the cave fairly quickly.
  • Large cavern but small feel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The tours are genuine and not over the top. Grand caverns are Grand. But even more fun was the tour to the second cave on the same property, Fountain cave. This cave was a show cave in the 1800's and has been closed for years. They take small groups down into the caverns that have no lighting. You are outfitted with a helmet, kneepads, gloves, and a headlight and get to really experience the caves. You can follow the path or try out some small tight adventure passages that are truly fun. At times all lights are turned off so we can experience true darkness. It is so cool! Both tours are highly recommended.
  • Grand Caverns is a wonderful experience. The tour is extremely informative. The whole family will be impressed by the beauty of the cave. Great place to go. The gift shop is really reasonable. You can get gemstones and other souvenirs
  • Loved this cavern! Our tour guide was Ashley. You will hope you get this charming and knowledgeable tour guide (we recommend requesting her). She smiles a lot, explained a lot of the cavern history, and also understood our young kid difficulties (young kids in our families) as we traversed the trails inside. The caverns themselves are probably the most beautiful I have seen; I preferred this cavern tour to Lurray and Shenandoah caverns nearby. This cavern boasts the longest cavern hall on the East Coast, has been home to countless weddings, and is one of the oldest show-caverns. Hundreds of years ago, the caverns were home to numerous dances... The candle smoke stains still visible. The price of this cavern was the best, the tour was great, and the electrical lighting was recently refurbished (as an Electrical Engineer, the electrical wiring and lighting in this cavern was the safest I have seen). Highly recommend this cavern over the rest (and they accept AAA discounts, another plus). Tip well... They deserve it!
  • Awesome & so beautiful lots do & bathroos much more. Worth coming to Va check out! 🌺🌹🌻😍🐠🐟🌲🌲🌳
