  • A very nice tour of about 90 minutes through the cave. It has great formations, and large rooms. Easy walk with some stairs. Well illuminated.Tour guide is very knowledgeable and helpful throughout.  more »
  • We loved the caves and all the history behind them. We have been to the deepest cave on the east coast and now we have been to the oldest (well first discovered). Anyways the gift shop was really nice...  more »
  • Our stop at the Grand Caverns was the highlight of our 7 day Virginia road trip. After descending from the Skyline Drive at Route 33, we headed to Grottoes on Route 340 to see the Caverns. After walki...  more »

  • Loved this cavern! Our tour guide was Ashley. You will hope you get this charming and knowledgeable tour guide (we recommend requesting her). She smiles a lot, explained a lot of the cavern history, and also understood our young kid difficulties (young kids in our families) as we traversed the trails inside. The caverns themselves are probably the most beautiful I have seen; I preferred this cavern tour to Lurray and Shenandoah caverns nearby. This cavern boasts the longest cavern hall on the East Coast, has been home to countless weddings, and is one of the oldest show-caverns. Hundreds of years ago, the caverns were home to numerous dances... The candle smoke stains still visible. The price of this cavern was the best, the tour was great, and the electrical lighting was recently refurbished (as an Electrical Engineer, the electrical wiring and lighting in this cavern was the safest I have seen). Highly recommend this cavern over the rest (and they accept AAA discounts, another plus). Tip well... They deserve it!
  • Awesome & so beautiful lots do & bathroos much more. Worth coming to Va check out! 🌺🌹🌻😍🐠🐟🌲🌲🌳
  • Excellent tour. Tours are by the hour. So if you come at 2:05 you will wait 55 minutes till 3 o'clock tour. So try to come 15 minutes before the hour. It was not crowded when I went. If you have little kids make sure they go to bathroom since there are no bathrooms in cave and they will have to hold it in for an hour.
  • This was a great experience. It was my first time in a cavern and I was slightly concerned because I am claustrophobic, but it was spacious enough that it didn't bother me. Truly a beautiful thing and the tour guide was very helpful!
  • Amazing tour guide. Beautiful place to visit, kids loved it.
